Discover Day offered members an adventure through Greenwich, with visits to the Royal Museum and the Old Royal Naval College and the choice of a trip to the Planetarium, the Cutty Sark or a boat ride on the river Thames. All that in addition to a close-up encounter with nature in The Royal Park with the RSPB!
Discover Night, meanwhile, was an exclusive sleepover on the Saturday night for Brownies, Guides, members of The Senior Section and accompanying leaders at the National Maritime Museum. Members got the opportunity to sleep on The Great Map and in surrounding galleries, and of course there were after-hours activities to take part in too.
Throughout the weekend, members also had the opportunity to say goodbye and thank you to the outgoing chief commissioner, Pip McKerrow.
