FareShare Food Collection
FareShare believe that no good food should go to waste. They redistribute surplus food to charities that turn it into meals and we've been partnered with FareShare since 2020 to fight food waste, protect the environment and stop people going hungry.
From Thursday 1 to Saturday 3 December, Girlguiding LaSER members will be earning their Food Collection badge by volunteering for FareShare in large Tesco stores. Food donated by Tesco customers during the collection will go to support local charities and community groups supplied by FareShare and in just one hour, they will help FareShare collect enough food for 200 meals!
The event is now closed for sign ups, but you could still have a food collection at your unit and donate it to a local charity or community group, just like the 4th Eastbourne Guide Unit.
