Worth division in Sussex Central county gave 78 girls the opportunity to complete their First Aider skills builder badges at a First Aid Fun event. Armed with passports to guide them, girls visited bases to learn what should go in a first aid kit, how to apply plasters, the recovery position and DR ABC amongst many other things! A real highlight was practising chest compressions on Percy Pig, as well as a sleepover for Guides and Rangers who developed their skills the following day.
With the help of Girlguiding volunteers and student paramedics, this free event was organised for members of the district by Min Chadd, county first aider. What a great way to develop essential skills in a fun environment, well done to all involved! Do you have a story to share? Submit your news here.
