Our region trainers held their conference ‘Lighting the Way’ in October. The day was full of activities and tasks thinking about how we help all girls know that they can do anything. There was also the opportunity to work together in groups to develop our new region training sessions, some of which are launching this term. There are sessions to support those doing the leadership development programme, others for commissioners and for those wishing to understand about and develop skills in mentoring. The conference also provided the opportunity for us to say an enormous thank you to Cindy Barnes who is finishing in her role as region trainer coordinator.
