As region Peer Education coordinator I’m here to make sure everyone knows about this great opportunity, has the chance to get involved whether as a Peer Educator, Peer Educator county coordinator or Peer Educator trainer and feels supported whilst they do. Ultimately, I help ensure members across the region benefit from peer-led workshops that equip them with the skills needed to be able to face issues that matter today in a positive way.

I’ve been a Peer Educator myself since 2016 and have delivered over 70 workshop sessions (and counting) to Brownie, Guide and Ranger units. Peer Education allows me to explore my own interests as well as make a positive difference to younger members. I really enjoy crafting each workshop to suit each unit’s needs and leaving behind something worthwhile for the girls to think about.

I have been the Peer Educator coordinator role for Surrey West since January 2020 which has led me to this region role. I am looking forward to growing the scheme across the region by encouraging others to get involved with Peer Education.
