Would you like to get involved with Girlguiding at a region level? Do you want the chance to influence and inspire thousands of members across London and South East England? If so, we’ve got a range of specialist roles to take you further. We encourage everyone to consider applying for region roles, especially those aged 18-30.
Assistant lead volunteer for safeguarding
We are looking for an individual to work with our lead volunteer for safeguarding to support with management of allocated safeguarding concerns, allegations and disclosures. You will be supported to undertake relevant risk assessments and investigations as appropriate. You will have effective communication skills and evidence of recent practical application of safeguarding practice. Applications close at midnight on Sunday 19 January 2025.
Awards committee member
As a member of our awards committee, you'll ensure that volunteers across the region are recognised for the outstanding contribution they make to our charity and the girls and young women we support. You'll help to ensure awards are promoted and encouraged across the region, meeting at least twice a year to discuss award nominations submitted by our members. Applications close at midday on Thursday 19 December 2024.

Queen's Guide opportunities
The new Queen's Guide award has a requirement to volunteer at region level. Assistant chief commissioner Hannah Roberts is creating a list of interesting opportunities to enable Queen's Guides to complete their 'Guiding Challenge' with us. Please complete our questionnaire if you are currently completing your Queen's Guide and need a region level opportunity.
